    Auckland city contains a municipal art gallery and a museum that are both of international repute. It also has a number of modern art galleries, cultural centres, and attractions such as a transport and technology museum, aquarium, planetarium and concert hall.

    Visitors to Auckland can appreciate its dramatic scenery from the summits of volcanoes, most of which are maintained as neighbourhood parks. Harbour cruising is also a popular way to view the city.

    All year round, there are events such as modern and classical music performances to enjoy, with special festivals occurring more often in the summer, such as blues and jazz, pasifika and film festivals.
